After the meeting, Central Minister Piyush Goyal, while providing information on the decisions taken during the meeting, stated, “Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, beneficiaries are provided a subsidy of Rs. 300 per cylinder, which was originally scheduled to expire on March 31, 2024, but has now been extended for one year.
Therefore, beneficiaries of this scheme will now receive a subsidy of Rs. 300 per cylinder on 12 cylinders until March 31, 2025.”
