In the second year of the B.Ed. programme, each student-teacher is required to deliver a total of 40 lessons—20 in each of the two pedagogy subjects chosen for internship schools or work centres.

The practice teaching phase begins after the first workshop of Year I and is completed before the second workshop of Year II. It is conducted during the four-month Internship–II, alongside other prescribed activities.

Out of the 40 lessons:

  • 30 lessons (15 per subject) are to be evaluated by the mentor.
  • 10 lessons (5 per subject) are to be observed by the supervisor, nominated by the PSC/RC.

Both the mentor and supervisor will assess lessons using the Teacher Assessment Battery (TAB) provided in the Handbook for Practical Activities for B.Ed. Second Year. Each lesson requires a separate TAB assessment, and all completed TABs with grades are to be submitted to the PSC.
