The assessment of practice teaching is carried out using the Teacher Assessment Battery (TAB). Both the mentor and the supervisor provide ratings, which are then compiled to determine cumulative grades.

These grades are further reviewed and moderated by a committee comprising the Programme In-Charge (PIC) and the supervisor. Once finalized, the moderated grades are forwarded by the PIC to the Student Evaluation Division (SED) through the concerned Regional Centre.

As per guidelines:

  • A supervisor appointed by the PIC may conduct up to 10 visits in total, of which at least three must take place during Internship–I.
  • In any given academic session, a supervisor may not oversee more than five student-teachers.
