Attention to all candidates appearing for the JPSC Preliminary Examination:

Eve of Exam Day Checklist (March 16, 2024):

  1. Thoroughly review the instructions on your admit card.
  2. Ensure all pages of the admit card, including two attendance sheets, are printed. Don’t procrastinate; print them now.
  3. Equip yourself with a reliable black or blue ballpoint pen.
  4. Obtain 1-2 additional passport-size photographs matching those on your admit card.
  5. Have your original photo identification ready.
  6. Close your books. Your preparation is sufficient. Trust in yourself and your hard work.
  7. Maintain a calm demeanor, meditate for clarity, avoid unhealthy snacks, and prioritize restful sleep.

Exam Day Morning (March 17, 2024)

  1. Begin your day by rising early and engaging in a calming meditation session before heading to the exam venue.
  2. Treat yourself to a hearty breakfast as you won’t have another chance to eat until after noon.
  3. Refrain from consuming spicy foods or excessive amounts of tea, coffee, or other beverages.
  4. Opt for comfortable attire for the exam, avoiding anything too tight or restrictive.
  5. Leave behind any jewelry or valuable accessories to minimize distractions during the exam.
  6. Skip the smartwatch and opt for a traditional analog wristwatch if you need to keep track of time.
  7. Ensure you have your admit card (all three pages), black or blue ballpoint pens, your original photo ID, and an extra passport-size photo.
  8. Maintain a calm demeanor and avoid any conflicts, whether on the streets or at the entrance to the exam venue. Cooperate with the examination center staff to ensure a smooth process.

During the Exam for Paper-1 on March 17, 2024:

  1. Ensure accurate completion of the OMR sheet.
  2. Seek clarification from the invigilator before filling the OMR in case of any uncertainty.
  3. Familiarize yourself with the instructions on the front page of the question paper upon receiving it.
  4. Verify the number of pages specified on the front page and promptly notify the invigilator of any discrepancies.
  5. Begin the exam at 10 am and methodically answer questions you are confident about, leaving others for later review.
  6. Maintain composure if encountering unfamiliar questions. Take deep breaths and recall calmly, trusting your preparation.
  7. Double-check that the answer marked on the OMR corresponds to the chosen answer in the question paper.

After completing Paper-1 at noon on March 17, 2024, follow these steps:

  1. Hydrate and freshen up.
  2. Opt for a light lunch.
  3. Steer clear of spicy or unhealthy foods.
  4. Safeguard your attendance sheet for the second paper.
  5. Refrain from engaging in discussions about the first paper.
  6. Stay within proximity of the exam center during the break.
  7. Arrive promptly and take your seat at the exam center.

Instructions for Paper-2 Exam (17-03-2024):

  1. Ensure accurate completion of the OMR sheet.
  2. If uncertain, seek clarification from the invigilator before marking the OMR.
  3. Review the instructions on the front page of the question paper upon receipt.
  4. Verify the page count stated on the front page; report any discrepancies promptly.
  5. Commencing at 2:00 PM, calmly address questions you’re confident about first, leaving others for later.
  6. Maintain composure if encountering unfamiliar questions; take a moment to recollect and respond calmly.
  7. Confirm consistency between your answers on the question paper and the corresponding OMR bubbles.
