SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025: State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced its Clerk Recruitment 2025 drive for 6,589 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) positions under the clerical cadre. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Selection Process

The SBI Clerk selection process comprises three key stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I)

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer
• Shortlisting: Approximately 10x the number of vacancies in each category

2. Main Examination (Phase II)

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for wrong answers
• Sectional Cut-offs: Not applicable
• Minimum aggregate score: As decided by SBI

3. Local Language Proficiency Test

• Candidates who studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard (as evidenced by mark sheet) are exempted.
• Others will be tested for proficiency in the regional language of the State/UT applied for.
• Qualifying in nature – failure to pass will result in disqualification.

Final Selection Criteria

• Prelims: Qualifying only; marks not considered in the final merit.
• Final Merit List: Based solely on Main Examination scores.
• Document Verification: Mandatory before final appointment.
• Waitlist: Maintained category- and state-wise, up to 50% of vacancies, valid for 1 year.

Tie-Breaker Rule: In case of equal marks, older candidates will be given preference.
